"Learn to Earn"

JIFF’s Learn to Earn (LTE) program will systematically address the high level of unemployed, unskilled, undereducated, Out-of-School youth and young adults ages 16-21, especially young offenders.
JIFF will offer three different modules for WIN Learn to Earn participants:

First, the Culinary Arts Training & Career Readiness module will be provided for those participants who, through their occupational assessments and personal motivation show proficiency and interest towards the food service industry.  This training will be based upon American Culinary Federation (ACF) guidelines and will be administered directly on site in JIFF’s new commercial culinary arts training kitchen.

Second, the GED & Career Readiness module will be provided for those participants who have yet to earn a high school diploma or GED.  (JIFF is recognized by the Messick Adult Center as an Official GED practice test site).  JIFF will also provide GED module participants with job placement and retention support services, and/or post-secondary educational or military placement.

Third, the Economic Advancement module will provide job placement and retention support services for participants who have a GED or High School Diploma and are in pursuit of post-secondary education, employment and/or desire the opportunity to increase their marketable skills leading to more lucrative employment.
