Does anyone else wake up on Monday morning feeling like it should still be Sunday?
Sometimes life goes by quickly, the weekends fly by, and rest feels like a distant dream. It is easy to become overwhelmed with the Monday blues and the feeling that we have a whole week ahead.
But I encourage myself, and each of you, to pray today - refocus and renew. And remember the plans that have been set for us. Instead of this being another week of work, let's remember this is one more week that has been granted us as a blessing to give to others.
We have one more week to influence youth lives.
We have one more week to share God's love.
We have one more week to grow, be strengthened, and to build new and deeper relationships with those around us.
We have one more week to make the world a better place.
My favorite verse states: "For I know the plans I have for you', declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future' - Jeremiah 29:11"
Today is a day of hope and future! Here's to a new, exciting week! Happy Monday, everyone.
"I've learned that people will forget what you said, will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel" -Maya Angelou
In this line of work, it can become easy to get frustrated or feel like we may not be making the impact we feel we should have each day. I would like to remind each of you that you may not always see the impact you are having on someone's life or the seed that has been planted as you are following Christ.
Each of us know that His plan is so much higher than our plan, and I know for many of us that may be a struggle to remember. I personally want things to go right and quickly, and I get discouraged if I don't see the results I want to see. But at the end of the day, He has His own plan to be a light to the world through us.
It is when we fully live in this truth that we begin to focus less on what we say and what we do and let God lead the way in making them feel.
Happy Monday and Happy Week! Thank you all for your dedication and consistency to see a change in the lives we serve.
